Fresh Buttermilk, Olive Oil & Cocoa Butter – Buttermilk soap is especially good for people that have had dry skin, or develop dry skin from the sun or air-conditioning. Skin should never be dried out as it becomes more prone to lines and wrinkles.

Finely Ground Oatmeal, Buttermilk & Cocoa Butter – The finely ground oatmeal in this soap helps exfoliate the skin, and Honey is a natural antiseptic and has been shown to assist skin repair. All of this is in a Buttermilk base. It just so happens that it smells like a healthy breakfast.

Fresh Goat’s Milk, Olive Oil & Cocoa Butter – Many commercial brands of goat’s milk soap use powdered milk. We think the best ones use fresh goat’s milk. Goat’s milk soap is especially suited to those people with very sensitive skin. It’s the mildest way to remove old oil and grease from the skin and replaces these oils with pure nut oils and proteins.

Tip: These are big bars of Milk Soap (130g) so they last longer. Some people with smaller hands or children may find it easier if the bar is cut into two pieces.

FAQ

Are your cleansing bars made of milk?

We aren’t called MooGoo because our products are based on milk. Fresh milk in a cream would go off and be smelly. Yuck! We do use Milk Protein in a few of our skin and hair care products, and it’s sourced ethically and sustainably from happy and healthy cows raised on a beautiful farm in New Zealand.

Our cleansing bars do contain dairy but the fresh milk will not go “off” because the saponified oils prevent bacteria from forming. Our cleansing bars are all cured for 3 months before they are packed up and sent out to you.

I’m Lactose intolerant. Are MooGoo products safe for me to use?

Almost all of our products do not contain milk, except for our Fresh Milk Cleansing Bars so it may be best to avoid these. Instead, we recommend using our Milk Wash as it contains no milk or Milk Protein

If you have an allergy to Milk Protein (rather than Lactose) you may want to choose creams without Milk Protein. They include the Eczema & Psoriasis Cream, Soothing MSM Moisturiser and Scalp Cream

‘Fragrance’ is listed as one of the ingredients in this product. What does this mean?

When we first started making products, we used a blend of essentials oils to give them a lovely fragrance. But many people have severe reactions and allergies to them, even in small amounts. As a result, and because we make products for people with sensitive skin, we took them out of most products.  Instead, we helped to develop a special kind of fragrant oil, whereby each component in it is less than the EU allergy threshold. This is how we can have a pleasant-smelling product without the reactions. The scents we use are proprietary blends from the company we get them from, and we’ve had no reactions since we made the switch. Also, of course, it is free from phthalates, which is the main concern in fragrances.
