Quit Now Program

Stop smoking and apply one patch according to the program below

	Pharmacy Care Step 1 Patch	Pharmacy Care Step 2 Patch	Pharmacy Care Step 3 Patch
If you smoke 20 or more cigarettes per day	Start with Step 1 Patch. Use for 3 to 4 weeks.	Then move to Step 2 Patch. Use for 3 to 4 weeks.	Then move to Step 3 Patch. Use for 3 to 4 weeks.
If you smoke 20 less than cigarettes per day	Not required	Start with Step 2 Patch. Use for 6 to 8 weeks.	Then move to Step 3 Patch. Use for 3 to 4 weeks.

Pre-Quit Program

Follow the Pre-Quit Program if you smoke 20 ore more cigarettes per day and are not sure you can stop smoking immediately. Apply Pharmacy Care Step 1 Patch once daily while still smoking. After 2 weeks stop smoking and start on the Quit Now Program (above).

Combination Therapy

If you have relapsed in the past or you experience cravings while using Pharmacy Care Nicotine Patch or Gum on its own you can combine use of Pharmacy Care Nicotine Patch with Pharmacy Care Nicotine Gum 2 mg. See enclosed leaflet for full directions.

DO NOT USE IF

You are under 12 years of age
You are a non-smoker or an occasional smoker
You have generalised skin disorder that may complicate patch therapy
You have an allergy to nicotine or any component of Pharmacy Care Nicotine Patches
The sachet seal is broken

You have a recent heart attack or stroke
You have angina (chest pain) that is not well controlled or getting worse
You have severe arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat)
